Meet and Greet – June 21st

“Fitting” party at Ground Up Athletics on Wednesday June 21st. 5pm-7pm.  20% discount to all of our members who purchase new running shoes and accessories that evening. Come meet and mingle and get geared up for what’s to come this season! Drinks and snacks will be provided as well.


First training day is July 15 at 7:00 am at Ground Up Athletics

USA FIT Champions is a training program for walkers and runners, of all levels of fitness, designed with the goal in mind of completing a marathon or half marathon in January. Although if your goal is just to come out and walk or run with a fun group and never complete any organized event our program is still the the program for you.

This year we will be training for the Chevron Houston Marathon, the Aramco Half Marathon and the Memorial Hermann USA FIT Marathon and Half Marathon.

Ask anyone who has done it; there is nothing like finishing a marathon or half marathon, even if you have never run or walk a step. You’ll be fit, happy, and mentally strong.

REFER A FRIEND PROGRAM – If you are a returning member and you refer one NEW MEMBER, you will receive a $20 discount on your membership fee. If you refer two or more, receive an additional $20 off. When your friend(s) register, just have them enter YOUR name in the field: “If you were referred by a Champions Fit member, please give us that member’s name.” At the close of registration, if your name is listed one or more times, you will receive the appropriate refund.

July 30th; The seminar will be on RUNNING SAFETY. It shouldn’t be very long most of which is commonsense. After which you will have a brief meeting with your group.

August 6th; The seminar will be held at Ground Up in Vintage Park.  They will give a brief talk on various aspects of running. Snacks will be provided. Make a point to attend. The address is 122 Vintage Park Blvd Suite B, phone number 832-843-6668.

August 13th;

August 20th; My Fit Food, Interest in losing a few pounds. Sign up for their 21 day program and enjoy great food serving while you slim down.

August 27th; Cherry Blossom Yoga, Hosted by Sara Turk, Owner. Mr. Turk will explain the importance of stretching and flexibility before and after running or walking.

September 3rd; Labor Day Weekend, no seminar. But if your in town there is no reason why you couldn’t come out to the “Y” and complete your Saturday run. If you do come out understand this will be an UNSUPPORTED run. Fluid will not be provided.
